This is a mixed media 4' x 8' collage by Jan Kirstein portraying a vision of moving from one world into another. A procession moves to an opened door or window leading to the delights of this new world. A metaphor for the changing of seasons to the Summer months of the Summer sun, this opened window speaks to the warm Summer days when breezes flow around the dancing movements of sailing ships on a sparkling sea. Sumi e ink is applied with hand-made brushes constructed out of natural leaves.
